On Friday the 17th of June, our whole kura came together to celebrate Matariki and to begin a new tradition.
It was important for us as a whānau that every student, staff member and family had a chance to contribute to this special occasion, whether through koha of kai or money, helping with the food prep or cooking of the kai, or simply being present for the hāngi.
We are happy to say that the whole event, and the days leading up to it, were a huge success and we look forward to doing it again and striving to be better than before.
It was certainly an even to fill our wairua cups in the middle of what has been a challenging year!
