Nei rā te mihi ki a koutou i tautoko mai i tā tātou Hāngī ki te whakanuia te hākari, ā, ki te whakamana i tēnei wā ō Matariki.
I would like to acknowledge the school community for their contribution in making our celebration of Matariki a very special one.
To our board who sees value in this event and allocates the funding to ensure we can hold it annually, I mihi to you. To the staff who worked behind the scenes to organise logistics and get stuck into the hard mahi at the pit or to serve our tamariki, I mihi to you. To those students who worked tirelessly at the pit and in the kitchen, I was very impressed with your dedication and willingness to serve your school. To the parents/caregivers who supported at the site and/or donated a koha whether it be from your cupboard of through your businesses, I mihi to you.
Finally, a special mention to the Rask whānau for their expertise and ongoing support of this kaupapa. Tēnā koutou ki a Matua Hone rātou ko Pāpā Paul ko Whāea Chrissy.
Nō reira e te whānau katoa, Tēnā koutou katoa.
Mānawatia a Matariki.
