On Wednesday 15 October we held our inaugural Cultural Prizegiving, a milestone moment for our kura as we came together to celebrate the heart and spirit of our school community.
The evening honoured the achievements of our Drama, Kapa Haka, Music, Pasifika, and Visual Arts students, with powerful performances that reflected the incredible talent, pride, and creativity of our ākonga.
A huge mihi to SBHS old boy Cooper Gibb-Faumuina for sharing his inspiring kōrero with our boys, and to Matua Iaean Cranwell for opening with a heartfelt mihimihi and closing with a powerful karakia that brought the night together in true whanaungatanga.
Our inaugural Cultural Prizegiving was a true celebration of identity, belonging, and the rich diversity that makes Shirley Boys’ High School so special.
