Year 10 P.E & Health Camps
Year 10’s that did not go on camp during Term 1 will be attending camp as compulsory part of the Year 10 P.E and Health curriculum and will be taking place in Purau Bay, in Lyttelton Harbour. The camps are aimed at giving the students an outdoor experience as well as looking at building confidence and co-operation between them. All of the activities that the students will be involved in are either run by qualified instructors or experienced outdoor education staff from SBHS. Information should have already reached home via email or brought home by each student.
Students will be attending camps in their PE class and will be sleeping in tents provided by school. The camp is over 3 days and 2 nights and activities include; kayaking, co-steering, mountain biking, 4-5 hour walk (up Mt Herbert 919m high), adventure based learning activities (ABL), rock climbing and various night activities.
