Shirley Boys’ High School is a single sex school serving the eastern suburbs of Christchurch. We provide learning inside and outside the classroom that enriches boys and prepares them for their world. Our staff provide high quality education with a focus on strong and positive relationships.

We seek a highly motivated, dynamic, engaging individual with expertise in leading people, professional learning and developing strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders. The successful applicant will have a background in middle or senior leadership, strong relationship skills, enjoy being part of a team, and will be required to make a commitment to the wider life of Shirley Boys’ High School and its community.

A job description has been developed but there is potential to modify it based on the successful applicant’s expertise and capability.

Teacher of Hard Materials

Full time, permanent position commencing at the beginning of Term 1 2021

Shirley Boys’ High School is a single sex school serving the eastern suburbs of Christchurch. We provide learning inside and outside the classroom that enriches boys and prepares them for their world. Our staff provide high quality education with a focus on strong and positive relationships.

We are seeking a Teacher of Hard Materials to join our strong department.  The ideal applicant will have the ability to teach Wood Technology, including Building and Construction, and Civil Works.  Industry experience in design and trades would be an advantage.

The successful applicant will be required to make a commitment to the wider life of Shirley Boys’ High School.
